Our journey began in 1946, in the Riviera del Brenta district, one of the world’s cradles of shoemaking artistry.
In the aftermath of the war, anyone who knew how to use their hands was making shoes.
But for some, discipline and desire were strong enough to transform materials, shapes, and ideas into something destined to walk far beyond its own time.

The first steps of our story were not taken on foot, but by bicycle.
The rhythm was 18 km at a time, 50 minutes along the tree-lined paths on the Brenta riverbank, toward the grandeur of Prato della Valle, the largest square in Europe.
Egisto Panizzolo treasured the knowledge passed down by the Riviera’s Master Shoemakers and he carried his first creations, crafted with the large, skilled hands of someone who works with passion, to be judge by Padua’s most distinguished ladies.

From his little corner of paradise—his small garage in Fiesso d’Artico, that gesture became a ritual, a vocation and a direction.
Energy always flows toward the path that we prepare for it through our work and passion.
Thus, the small footwear masterpieces that enchanted the ladies of Prato della Valle transformed Egisto’s garage into a thriving company.
The synergy of craftsmanship and continuous inspiration, gave birth to a dynamic, ever-evolving laboratory that has been active for three generations.

Maripé, the company later created by Egisto, became internationally recognized.
Its founder was honored by the Riviera del Brenta Footwear Manufacturers Association for having contributed, with honesty, dignity, and mastery, to the prestige and growth of the footwear district.

In 2016, Maripé reached an extraordinary milestone: when its iconic ankle boot sold a record-breaking number of nearly 100,000 pairs. This achievement was celebrated by the ANWR Group, Europe’s leading footwear retailer, who presented a silver version of the model in recognition of Maripé creating and producing the most widespread shoe in Europe.

Nearly 80 years after that first artisanal gesture, inspiration, passion and evolution continue to flourish under the name of Shoe Manufacture S.r.l., which preserves the Maripé brand while carring its knowledge forward and combining it with continuous innovation.

Two visions and two paths that meet at the heart of the fashion industry.
Mattia Panizzolo, the third generation of the founding family, and Claudia Ranzato, a designer and stylist, immediately recognized a shared attitude: they are grounded, curious, and constantly on the move.
Over the years, they have worked together as creative consultants for some of the most prominent fashion brands, traveling between Europe and the United States contribute to the stylistic and strategic development of their collections.
The number two is more than just the beginning of an encounter; it is an expression of a shared vision that continue to shape the stylistic identity of Shoe Manufacture today.

In 2023, Mattia Panizzolo and designer Claudia Ranzato created the sneaker brand MRP-Star, bringing all the footwear know-how of the company under the palms of Melrose Place.
Featuring metallic finishes that seem to reflect the sunsets of Venice Beach, its sneakers secured a central place among Shoe Manufacture’s successes in less than two years, once again confirming its timeless identity.
